General terms and conditions
At the same time, the following GTC contain legal information about your rights according to the regulations on contracts in distance selling and electronic commerce.
1. scope
For all deliveries of ars lanae | Handel & Marketing, Joris & Schmitz-Knuf GbR (hereinafter: ars lanae) to consumers (§ 13 BGB) these General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply.
A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for a purpose that can be attributed neither to his commercial nor to his independent professional activity.

3. offer and conclusion of contract
3.1 The presentation of the products in the online store does not constitute a legally binding offer, but an invitation to order. Color deviations between screen and print representation and the real products are unavoidable due to technical conditions. Errors excepted.
3.2 By clicking the "Buy" button, you place a binding order for the goods listed on the order page. The purchase contract is concluded when we accept your order by sending an order confirmation by e-mail immediately after receiving your order.
4. right of withdrawal
4.1 Cancellation policy: Consumers have a fourteen-day right of cancellation.
You have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, have taken possession of the goods.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (see below) by means of a clear declaration (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail) of your decision to withdraw from this contract.
To comply with the cancellation period, it is sufficient that you send the notification of the exercise of the right of cancellation before the expiry of the cancellation period.

Consequences of the revocation
If you revoke this contract, we shall reimburse you all payments we have received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of additional costs resulting from the fact that you have chosen a type of delivery other than the most favorable standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than within fourteen days from the day on which we received the notification of your revocation of this contract.
For this repayment, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged for this repayment.
We may refuse to refund you until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever is the earlier.
You must return or hand over the goods to us immediately and in any case no later than within fourteen days from the day on which you notify us of the revocation of this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the expiry of the period of fourteen days.
You bear the direct costs of returning the goods.
You only have to pay for any loss of value of the goods if this loss of value is due to the handling of the goods which is not necessary for the inspection of the condition, properties and functioning of the goods.
4.2 The right of withdrawal does not apply to the delivery of goods that are manufactured according to customer specifications or clearly tailored to personal needs or to the delivery of audio or video recordings or software, provided that the delivered data carriers have been unsealed by you.
4.3 Please return the goods to us as a prepaid package and keep the delivery receipt.
4.4 Please notify us of your return by e-mail to post@ars-lanae.de, stating the invoice date and invoice number, so that we can quickly and easily allocate your return.
4.5 Please note that the modalities mentioned in paragraphs 4.3 to 4.5 are not a prerequisite for the effective exercise of the right of withdrawal.
5. prices and shipping costs
5.1 The prices stated on the product pages include the statutory value added tax and other price components.
5.2 Germany
In addition to the stated prices, we charge an additional flat rate of 4.90 euros per order for delivery within Germany. The shipping costs will be communicated to you again on the product pages, in the shopping cart system and on the order page. There is no minimum order quantity or total for this with us.
When paying by cash on delivery (only possible in Germany), an additional one-time fee of 6,- Euro will be charged, which will be collected by the deliverer on site.
5.3 International = selected EU countries*.
In addition to the stated prices, we charge an additional flat rate of 12.45 euros per order up to 2 kg in shipping costs for delivery to selected EU countries*. The shipping costs will be communicated to you again on the product pages, in the shopping cart system and on the order page. For higher weights, additional shipping costs may apply. Please ask for these separately.

5.4 Switzerland and USA
In addition to the stated prices, we charge an additional flat rate of 12.45 Euro for delivery to Switzerland and 18.- Euro per order up to 2 kg for delivery to the USA. The shipping costs will be communicated to you again on the product pages, in the shopping cart system and on the order page. For higher weight additional shipping costs may apply. Please ask for these separately.
Attention: For delivery to Switzerland and the USA, customs duties and fees are payable, these are likely to be collected directly by the letter carrier or customs authority. Inform yourself about their amount before ordering and have the corresponding sum ready.Calculation and payment of these duties and fees will not be made through us.
6. delivery
6.1 Delivery is made with DHL within Germany and to selected EU countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark (except Faroe Islands, Greenland), Estonia, Finland (except Åland Islands), France incl. Monaco (except overseas territories and departments), Greece (except Mount Athos), Great Britain (except Channel Islands), Ireland, Italy (except Livigno and Campione d'Italia), Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands (except non-European territories), Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (except Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla), Czech Republic, Hungary, Cyprus (except northern part) as well as to the USA (minor outlying islands).
7. payment
7.1 You can choose to pay in advance, PayPal or cash on delivery (only in Germany).

7.3 You shall only be entitled to set-off if your counterclaims have been legally established by a court or are undisputed or have been acknowledged by us in writing.
7.4 You may only exercise a right of retention insofar as the claims result from the same contractual relationship.
8. retention of title
Until full payment, the goods remain our property.
9. alternative dispute resolution
Alternative Dispute Resolution pursuant to Art. 14 (1) ODR Regulation and § 36 VSBG:
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (OS), which you can find at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are required to participate in dispute resolution procedures before this body. We will participate in any such procedure.
